Action packed, or what?

The day got off to a great start with a visit to Kuay Ka Loke school and its Head Teacher Jim, possessor of the widest smile on the Burma border.

Jim talks to Nick and Sophie Leventis about life at Kuay Ka Loke.

Then it was back to Hsa Mu Hthaw for a rapid visit and more of their delicious mushrooms, and the dipping sauce (recipe will be available soon we hope!).

The afternoon was perhaps the biggest adventure of the trip with a quick trip across the Burma border to visit a school in the area opposite Mae Sot which is desperate for help.  The school is as basic as can be, a traditional wooden structure on stilt like legs, with wooden benches and a very basic blackboard inside.  The schools needs are comprehensive - everything!
